If you know your order number, please contact us at backyardplantnursery@gmail.com or additional information with the order number in the subject line. 

To complete your return, we require the purchaser’s name, email address, shipping address, order number and description of the item(s) returned be emailed to us for a return authorization.  To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.*

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Damaged or Used
  • Missing Component

    This happens when the product is incorrect, damaged by the carrier, or defective in another way or wrong product, it doesn't fit, or they no longer want the item, Who it will take  responsibility?

    Refunds (if applicable)

    We will issue credit for any items damaged in shipment to use in the store for any product you would like. 

    If you receive the wrong item, please contact so we can arrange pickup of the wrong item for return.  Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

    If you are approved, then your refund will be processed,  you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. It can take 7 days to receive your return, and also it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. We will process your return within 3 days of receiving and notify you by email.

    Received the Wrong Tree?

    We take great care to label all plant varieties properly and correctly. If your purchase is mislabeled, we will replace your shipment at our expense. Simply contact customer service and send pictures of your mislabeled products. More information contact backyardplantnursery@gmail.com

    Bulk Orders

    We guarantee all plants and trees to arrive in a healthy condition and to be true to the described plant variety, as well as the Size / Description as agreed to. If applicable, all heights are measured from the root/soil line to the highest extended branch or foliage.

    We are not responsible for improper handling, planting, exceptional weather or lack of proper maintenance. Bulk orders and oversize products priced separately from the website are not eligible for advertised discounts, promotions or standard warranty. All prices are subject to change without notice. Any additional terms, if any, will be clearly marked on the Purchase Agreement and signed by the customer before payment is rendered. Any images utilized to describe plant health, quality or size are for representative purposes only and do not reflect the specific plants ordered. All sales are final.

    Pot Sizes

    Our trees and plants with listed container sizes reference the industry-standard trade gallon. These sizes are smaller than conventional gallon measurements, and some plants may be reported, pruned, or tidied-up before shipping.

    We do not accept returns unless a product is dead and we can verify it first. Please send us an email of pictures of the plants to backyardplantnursery@gmail.com You will need to do the scratch test to make sure they are dead not dormant also. Dormant plants looks dead when they are not, see below image. 

    We do not accept product return requests after 30 days from the order date.

    Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

    If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

    Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

    Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

    Exchanges (if applicable)

    Exchanges are only accepted for defective or damaged items.

    NOTE: This Returns Policy is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Use and does not set out all of the terms and conditions that may be applicable to your transaction (see full Terms of Use in this regard). In the event of a conflict between this Returns Policy and the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use shall take precedence to the extent of the conflict.

    Gifts

    If you received an order as a gift, we will require the contact information of the original purchaser to issue a refund, store credit, or replacement for any item.
